Biophos

BIOPHOS is a highly innovative organic fertiliser allowed in organic farming, which performs many activities (multifunctional manure). BIOPHOS, in addition to delivering a humified organic substance of high agronomic quality with a soil regenerating action, delivers a specific pool of rhizosphere bacteria that, due to their action in the soil, act on the phosphorus present making it available to crops again. It is actually known that soil normally contains the element phosphorus but that this is not available for plants because it is irreversibly retrograded to insoluble forms (dicalcium and tricalcium phosphate); therefore, soil contains phosphorus but plants need it.

BIOPHOS is capable of naturally freeing the phosphorus present in soil and making it available for the plant simply by breaking, due to the microorganisms delivered, the chemical bonds which block the phosphorus in the soil. Some bacteria in fact, in their natural metabolism, produce alkaline phosphatase and phytase, substances which solubilise mineral phosphates making them available for absorption. BIOPHOS therefore represents a new frontier in sustainable phosphate fertilisation, where, instead of providing the mineral phosphorus element, depleted in mines worldwide, that already present, but no longer available because it is insoluble, is used.
